EVOLUTION: DARWINISM VS. EPIGENETICS
CAN RECENT DISCOVERIES CREATE AGENDAS THAT PREVENT HUMAN DISEASES AND ASSURE A PROGRESSIVE PATH FOR EVOLUTIONARY SURVIVAL OF HUMANKIND ON PLANET EARTH?
Charles Darwin had great insights concerning aspects of evolutionary diversity in the middle of the 19th century. His ground breaking revelations during that highly religious based scientific era sent a baffling message to both the scientific and religious communities. Amazingly, his written declarations were proposed without the benefit of some of the following discoveries: genetics, pathological infective organisms, immune systems, etc. Although Darwin is still considered the great guru for evolution, his interpretations of his discoveries are froth with a great deal of naivety, when he declared that famous quote; “Survival of the Fittest”. Nonetheless, we cannot condemn Darwin’s shortsightedness due to the future discoveries yet to be made.
However, a portion of Darwin’s shortsightedness still permeates the scientific community of Genetics. Ingrained within genetic literature is the belief that much of evolutionary progression is due to defects in the complexity is the genetic machinery. These mistakes in genes cause species to change their evolutionary agendas, therefore, continuing the belief that only “ The Fittest Survive” these genetic changing agendas. This declaration would mean that every extant species at this space-time on planet Earth, attained their individual specie type by “Genetic Accidents”.
Even in this present day of profound scientific discoveries, there is a massive neglect of a reality that has at the least been known about over 90 years. That is Quantum Mechanics. Every element contains orbital electrons that contain wave-particle dualities clouds. Every molecule whether participating in biological processes or nonviable objects have entangled orbital clouds of electrons that connects everything together. That holds true for every scrape of manifested matter in our Universe. This includes all of the evolutionary molecules that make up all species, tissues, organs, cells, molecules, which includes the massive complexities that comprise genetic machinery.
The discovery of ‘Epigenetics,” and it’s tremendously explosive research endeavors within the last 2 decades has demonstrated that the complexities of the genetic machinery will require a continuous obligatory reevaluation of the “Evolutionary Process” of biological organisms.
However, there is a continuing problematical thrust regarding Epigenetic research. The most constant efforts of researcher are to equate epigenetics to cancers and these studies have failed to quantify the underlying processes, other than verifying that a relationship does exist. Further, the well known methylation factors are continued to be parts of laboratory cancer experimental studies, though many other compounds have been found to also promote epigenetic effects. Some are nutritional and other are environmental (1). Equating epigenetics to cancers will not ever lead to viable cancer therapeutic agents as the information derived from those studies show only protein agendas and genetic changes already present in cancer cells. It does not show the outside toxins (carcinogens) that caused those changes by penetrating inward from out side of the normal cells that caused them to progress toward the malignant path. ( This is covered in detail on the website”Regenerative-Bio-Healing .com”)
Nonetheless, there have been many studies that have shown that while not being able to document the exact mechanism, epigenetics profoundly affects evolutionary progeny due to nutritional as well as environmental stimuli.
Since the total complexity of the exacting genetic mechanism is not at this point in time known, it seems that there should be more emphasis on avoiding the detrimental effects of pathological epigenetic propensities. This is not at present being done. Environmental epigenetic studies represent less than 5% of all epigenetic publications. (2).
If humankind is destined to learn from the lessons of epigenetics, a revision of how the medical professions of this planet should endeavor to teach the change in lifestyles needed for survival. A recent published Review Article “Personal Lifestyle Medicine” with 82 references, precisely addresses what can be taught to humankind for a fulfilling future for our planetary survival.(3.)
